We are the right choice for you

As founder of the Law Office of Duke Barnes, Duke takes pride in balancing a sophisticated understanding of the complex and ever-changing legal world with a warm, personalized approach to his client’s needs. As a husband, father, and business owner, Duke has an intimate understanding of how overwhelming many of the issues he deals with can feel. Duke is a Nashville native, now residing in beautiful Rockvale, TN (just outside of Murfreesboro) and has two children who attend public schools in Rutherford County. Duke is married to Heather Barnes, an outstanding  mother, and wife. Heather is a hometown girl, born and raised in Murfreesboro, TN. Duke completed his undergraduate work at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, and later obtained a Masters in Accounting from Middle Tennessee State University. He worked his way through law school, attending the Nashville School of Law at night.

A Boutique Law Firm Focused Only on Estate Law Matters.

It might sound odd when talking about Estates and Trusts, but we love what we do! So few lawyers enjoy their day-to-day work, but I have assembled a team that enjoys this niche practice. We are laser-focused on estate law and on helping our clients achieve their goals. We purposefully remain a boutique firm, rather than being swallowed up by one of the mega-firms that would love to have us. When considering law firms, bigger isn’t always better. One person, such as yourself, can easily be lost in the shuffle if a firm has too many clients or too many areas of practice. Law firms that focus on other sectors, like corporate work or real estate, can quickly put their estate planning clients on the back burner. When you become our client, you are essential to us. Estate law is all we do!

MY AREA OF PRACTICE

Estate Planning

We provide well-crafted estate plans that protect loved ones, save money, and avoid costly litigation. We don’t do this part-time — as estate planning attorneys, it is all we do! Our services also include taxes and asset protection, as well as business succession planning and special needs planning.
